Starting from the bottom and with straight needles / DPN CO 1, leave long tails for creating stem later on. At this stage I measure the yarn as you will need to cut it later on. (With the needle size I am using, you will need 160cm approx. yarn to create a single leaf.)

Row 1: K;  Row 2: Kfb (2 sts total)  Row 3: K  Row 4: Kfb x 2 times (4 sts total)  Row 5: K
Row 6: Kfb, K2, Kfb (6 sts total)  Row 7: Kfb, K4, Kfb (8 sts total)  Row 8: K
Row 9: Kfb, K6, Kfb (10 sts total)  Row 10: K  Row 11: Kfb, K8, Kfb (12 sts total)  Row 12-14: K
Row 15: K2tog, K8, Ssk (10 sts total)  Row 16: K
Begin Short Rows:
Now you should have 10 sts total in your needle. We want to work on 5 sts at a time. For the first 5 stitches:

Step 1: K2tog, K3, turn your needle around (4 sts total)
Step 2: K2tog, Ssk, you are back at the beginning, turn your needle around (2 sts total)
Step 3: BO
Now by this stage I hope you have measured your yarn and figured out how long you will need. If you are using the same needle as I do and you are making four leaf clover, measure approx. 500cm then cut of the yarn from your skein. Carefully pull through the yarn, then you can use crochet hook / needle to thread the yarn down to the middle so it’s next to your live stitches. (refer to video tutorialsNow you are ready to finish the last 5 stitches:
Step 4: K3, Ssk (4 sts total)
Step 5: K2tog, Ssk (2 sts total)
Step 6: BO
Once again, pull through the yarn, then bring it back down to the middle and then all the way down to the bottom so it’s next to your CO tail. You have successfully completed your first leaf! Make three more by using the connecting yarn and start by casting on again.
When you have finished all four leaves, position all your leaves together then use your needle to secure the middle area so they no longer move around. weave in the remaining yarn.

11-- фантазийный лист:
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4ap-hQgFPa9MHBHaE5pY1dZalE/edit

описание довольно заковыристое, пока не уверенна, как его расшифровывать.

Это варианты листьев с платным описанием в инете, либо просто как демонстрационный вариант. Однако, иногда достаточно посмотреть на направление петель на фото-и идея уже созрела в голове...
